Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
This Policy describes the processing of personal data carried out through this website, under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018). The processing of data in the course of rendering legal services is governed by the respective engagement agreements, applicable law and attorney-client confidentiality.
This English version is provided for convenience only. In case of any discrepancy, the Portuguese version prevails.
Controller
The controller is Trung e Lourenção Sociedade de Advogados, enrolled with the Brazilian National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ) under No. 10.246.850/0001-28, headquartered at Alameda Santos, 1.165, sala 11, Cerqueira César, São Paulo/SP, 01419-002, Brazil.
Data processed, purposes and legal bases
The website is institutional and static: it has no restricted area, contact form or registration. Processing is limited to the cases below.
- Technical access logs (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and similar data), generated by the hosting provider when serving the pages, for operation, security and abuse prevention — legitimate interests (Art. 7, IX).
- Data provided by data subjects themselves when contacting the firm by telephone or e-mail (name, contact details and content of the communication), in order to respond to the request — preliminary procedures related to a contract, at the data subject’s request (Art. 7, V), or legitimate interests (Art. 7, IX).
- Aggregate audience metrics, if used, obtained through a tool that does not use cookies or identify individual visitors (Cloudflare Web Analytics) — legitimate interests (Art. 7, IX).
There is no automated decision-making and no use of data for profiling or advertising.
Contacting the firm through the website or by e-mail does not create an attorney-client relationship, nor does it bind the firm to accept any matter. Confidential information should not be sent before the firm is engaged.
Informativo Trabalhista (newsletter)
When available, subscribing to the monthly Informativo Trabalhista will entail the processing of the e-mail address provided, solely to send the newsletter, on the basis of consent (Art. 7, I).
Consent may be withdrawn at any time, through the unsubscribe link included in each issue or through the channel indicated under “Data subject rights”, without affecting processing carried out beforehand (Art. 8, § 5). The mailing provider will be identified in this Policy before the service becomes available.
Sharing and processors
Personal data is not sold. Sharing is limited to the providers required for the operation of the website and the firm’s communications:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting and delivery (Cloudflare Pages) and, if used, aggregate audience metrics;
- Microsoft Corporation and its affiliates — the firm’s e-mail (Microsoft 365);
- the Informativo Trabalhista mailing provider, when available.
Data may also be disclosed to authorities upon legal request or court order, or used in the regular exercise of rights in judicial, administrative or arbitral proceedings (Art. 7, VI).
International transfer
The providers listed above may process data on servers located outside Brazil, notably in the United States.
These transfers comply with Articles 33 et seq. of the LGPD and the regulations of the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
Retention
Data is retained for the following periods:
- technical access logs: for the period set by the hosting provider;
- communications received: for as long as necessary to handle the request and, if the firm is engaged, for the term of the engagement and the applicable statute of limitations;
- e-mail addresses subscribed to the Informativo Trabalhista: until consent is withdrawn or the newsletter is discontinued.
Once these periods expire, data is deleted, except for the retention cases set out in Art. 16.
Data subject rights
Data subjects may exercise the rights set out in Art. 18 of the LGPD, including confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion, portability, information on sharing and withdrawal of consent, as well as objection to processing based on legitimate interests that does not comply with the law (Art. 18, § 2).
Requests must be sent to [email protected] and will be answered within the periods set out in Art. 19. The requester may be asked to confirm their identity. Data subjects may also file a petition with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (Art. 18, § 1).
Data Protection Officer
The firm qualifies as a small-scale processing agent and, under ANPD Board of Directors Resolution No. 2/2022, is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer (Art. 41). The channel for data protection matters is [email protected].
Security
Technical and administrative measures are adopted to protect personal data from unauthorized access and from accidental or unlawful events (Art. 46), including encrypted traffic (HTTPS) and access control to the services used. Incidents that may result in relevant risk or harm to data subjects will be reported to the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority and to the data subjects, under Art. 48.
Cookies
The website does not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, nor equivalent technologies to identify or track visitors. The audience metrics mentioned above, if used, operate without cookies.
Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be amended at any time, including to reflect the launch of the Informativo Trabalhista or of audience metrics. The version published on this page prevails, with the date of the last update shown at the top. Changes requiring new consent will be communicated in advance to the affected data subjects.
